International Maritime Industries (IMI) is the result of a strategic partnership between four industry giants: Saudi Aramco, Lamprell, Bahri, and Hyundai Heavy Industries. These leaders have combined their expertise to create a state-of-the-art maritime facility, focused on delivering excellence in quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Each partner, bringing years of operational and customer experience, has ensured that IMI sets new standards in the maritime sector through an integrated facility and a localized supply chain ecosystem.

Situated within the King Salman Complex for International Maritime Industries & Services in Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia, IMI is set to be the largest full-service maritime facility in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Its massive scale ensures that all customer maritime requirements are addressed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key highlights of IMI’s capabilities include:

• One of the largest combined drydock areas in MENA

• The region’s largest ship lift with a capacity of 31,200 tons

• The biggest combined lift capability over a drydock in MENA, able to handle 2,150 tons

• A massive quayside stretching 9,000 meters, the largest in the region

• The largest combined land area in MENA, covering 11.4 million square meters

With an annual capacity to build four offshore rigs and over 43 new vessels, including Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs), IMI can also service more than 260 maritime assets annually. This facility is designed to meet all maritime needs efficiently and to exact specifications.
